Prayer Requests > Leaning or Falling? Either way I don't understand.

I have trouble trusting God all the time. I know the bible says, "Lean not onto your own understanding," yeah, that's part of Proverbs 3:5, but it's like playing the falling game, where you lean into someone else's arms, hopefully, when they catch you. I just have issues, and sometimes don't know if I am leaning or falling. The bible says we know His voice and will follow only His, but I just wonder; there's so many voices out there, how can I be so sure? I just need prayer, and I would love it if there were some steps or things I could do to just start trusting God better. I know He's in control, but my flesh always wants to be, and gets aggravated when it's not. (which is pretty much all the time) So please, I just want help on this. Verses. Activites. Steps. Words. I just need some support so I can build myself up to be a much better Christian.
Tell me, am I leaning, or falling? I can't really tell at the moment.

God bless your heart.I used to wonder the same thing too, how do I know God is speaking to me. However what I do is to contstanly pray and seek God's word and to also ask myself what would Jesus do if he were in my position, which would be the right and Godly thing to do. Never let the circumstances sorrounding you dicate the outcome of your prayer(that is leaning on your own understanding). God doesn't think the way we do,he is a just God.Keep praying in tongues if you can, that is more effective.
