Our minister is being accused of stealing from the church, it's likely that he did. I don't know how anyone can do this, and not fear what God might do. What do you think might cause that behavior, and what scriptures can you refer to me for solace.

Jesus died to set us free from the law. However, while all things are now permissible, that doesn't make it a good idea. From the stand point of "breaking God's law', it doesn't matter. From the standpoint of human trust (and God's trust too), it's a different issue. He will probably have legal issues and moral issues and relational issues as a result. Really, you simply need to ask God to lead you to a place where you can forgive him and move forward. There's really no "good" reason for it, and nothing that will help explain away his actions to make them more understandable. But you can choose to love him anyway.
