Hello, my name is Bun. I've been an Christian for the first 15 years of my life, then an atheist, now I am an Agnostic. Please don't turn your head, I'm not here to bash anyones religion. I do have some questions though, and unlike my friends, I won't criticize without giving chances of explaining why things are the way they are.

I understand we all need faith in someone out there. I understand death is a very intimating thing. I understand that God loves everyone, according to some branches of Christianity, while he only saves those in specific groups in others.

I just need to know the story from the other side.

Please look at this website, and yes this url www.evilbible.com It's been put together over the years and I've recently stumbled across it. It gives where there is rape, murder, slavery and human sacrifice in the bible, tells the exact verse and everything.

I'm just wondering why aren't all aspect of the bible taken as sacred as the others. We're taught to love God, but I wasn't taught the these things.

Will someone please help me? I'm not here to rock anyones boat, I'm just looking for answers.

I am not a minister but I have been a Christian for most of my 45 years. I am curious as to why you think some aspects of the Bible are not discussed in churches. In my church, we read, discuss and are taught all aspects of the Bible. That is why it is such an interesting book. God does not need to hide anything. He put it all in the book He inspired. I looked at www.evilbible.com and it seems like a site that is trying for retribution against something. Some who has been hurt and is very angry is behind this site, I urge you not dwell on it. With your permission, I would like to include you in my prayers. You seem like you are searching for something and as I believe we are all spiritual, that something, you are searching for is God.

I believe that we all must go through our trial and tribulations to get where God want's us to be. I am from a broken home, my dad took my mother from us when I was 10 years old, by us I mean my other 7 siblings, after her death I hated my father and I hated the person who invented the gun, because that's what took my mother from me my father and his gun. So I stayed from my first love which was the love of God, and I tried to find comfort elsewhere like joining gangs and doing things that wasn't becoming to God. I thought God had let me down, but now as I've grown and come to understand that we are all here only for a season and that my mother was here to give birth to us children and then she could pass on to the next stage where God wanted her. You see I have gone through so much in my life time that I can only believe that there is a all supreme being and that being God Almighty. I'm 42 now and I'm only here by the Grace of God because I could have been dead at nineteen years old, so I believe that God intervened when I needed him most, and that was when I had a gun pointed to my head, and all I could do was call on the only name grandma ever taught me to call on when I was in trouble and that name is JESUS. So my sister if ever you are in doubt just pick up the HOLY BIBLE and ask GOD to help you understand His word because He will, believe me I'm a living testimony and I believe what ever the Bible says to be true.

I was raised in church and went as child and "knew" that God is and Jesus was/is but until I started questioning it I was never able to truly know. For me, I was in church and there was a lot going on. People were getting prayed for and I sat in the back of the church alone asking God "what about me" not thirty seconds later someone called me to be prayed for and told me exactly what I had been praying. Another time I asked God, if you are the God of the bible and it is real to show me and he did by having someone at that moment say to me exactly what I told God. If you need to know, you should ask God, truly and not looking for it to be false but looking for it to be real. Not to say that everything in your mind and life will change at that moment but when God reveals himself as God and his word to be true you will always have that to remember when you doubt. And back to your original statment (lol) go talk to a preacher I am sure that any preacher will be willing to talk to you about your quesitons and doubts.
