I've been wondering this for some time.
For the longest time at school I didn't even consider them, because I guess I thought, "HELLO, everyone here KNOWS I'm a Christian and would NEVER do that!" but then I entered High school and realized a bit more of how twisted everyone turns out to be and I worry, Do people know how I am? Will they see a light in me that shines?
Nowadays, where I am, EVERYONE claims Christianity in some form, and it's so hard to minister or stick out really. There's plenty that refuse God, but there's still too many.
What I want to know is, should I bother buying a ring, a purity ring, if it's just going to make more people refuse or be sickened by God?

I say do what will make you act the way that you should act. For me, a purity ring wouldn't have made me act any differently. Being involved in Christian groups, and spending time in the Bible would. I think your desire to stand out is great, but be careful not to pay too much attention to that and wondering if you are or aren't. You are probably standing out to people and never know it. God can use you however he wants and you may never know. I saw say strong in your beliefs (this is tough in high school and in college!) and you will be used by Him. You can NEVER go back and fix your mistakes, remember that!
